We use English education as the main vehicle for instilling in our students a sense of confidence and competence necessary for success in American universities and the global economy. TAHS prepares and empowers English language learners to build a better life and inspires them to become global-minded leaders in their communities. You will be serving as an TOEFL Instructor to teach and manage TOEFL exam preparation courses offered at The Academy with curriculum and lesson plans provided.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Teach scheduled TOEFL classes to the students in some, or all four subjects: Reading, Speaking, Writing, Listening.
  • Provide academic support to students to ensure their progress and achievements
  • Complete the necessary administrative work required for classes in a timely manner
  • Grade the homework give detailed feedback to the students to ensure academic progress
  • Help students with inquiries they may have and communicate this with the appropriate department
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • TEFL/TESOL
    certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) Looking for candidates who are:
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and positive
  • Organized and thorough, with good attention to detail
  • The ability to provide exceptional customer service to students on a daily basis
  • Experience with other standardized ESL exams, such as
TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, GRE, ACT
is a plus.
