Going strong since 1974, CASE is an educational collaborative agency made up of 11 regional and municipal districts affording member and non-member school districts the opportunity to augment local services by planning, developing and implementing programs for students with special needs. This position is a Part-time (.4) teaching position. Because this position is scheduled for less than 16 hours per week, it is classified as a part-time position and is not eligible for employee benefits. Responsibilities of the English Learner Teacher is to provide the following: English Language development instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing that appropriately aligns with students' needs, WIDA standards, and CSS Experience working with students with Autism, Emotional Disabilities and other high needs Initial and ongoing assessment of students' English Language Proficiency Maintain data from a variety of sources on individual students' English Language Proficiency, demographic information, and academic progress Monitor English Learner student progress in all settings Monitor former English Learning student progress in all settings; complete biannual FLEP reports Review student records and educational histories in order to develop and maintain EL student profiles and goals for obtaining English Language and Academic Proficiencies Communicate with parents and guardians about student placement and progress Provide outreach and work closely with families of EL's Attend and participate in school meetings involving English Learners
