Candidates must hold current Maine Department of Education teacher certification and English endorsement.
Description:
Bruce M. Whittier Middle School is seeking a full-time 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher for the 20262027 school year.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about working with middle school students, builds positive relationships, and creates engaging learning experiences that help students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers.

ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver standards-based English Language Arts instruction.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

Monitor student progress and use assessment to guide instruction.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and support staff.

Participate in school and professional learning activities.
