Company Overview River of Life Christian School is a private elementary, middle, and high school located in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle/High School English Teacher to join our team at River of Life Christian School. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate young minds while contributing to their spiritual and academic growth in a supportive Christian environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation. Manage student behavior effectively to promote a safe learning atmosphere. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to support their development. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices. Integrate library services into lesson plans to promote literacy and research skills. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or related field required. Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to develop curriculum that meets diverse learning needs. Familiarity with behavior management techniques is preferred.
