Position Summary:
The Middle/High School English Teacher is responsible for fostering a lifelong love of reading, writing, and critical thinking for students across multiple secondary grade levels (typically spanning grades 7-12). Because of the district's close-knit nature, this educator plays a vital role in building deep, multi-year relationships with students and families, aligning curriculum across transitions, and contributing actively to a collaborative school culture.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must meet the state of Michigan certification requirements to teach at the secondary level (BA Certification Required), Grades 6-12 Must demonstrate the ability to connect with students and engage them in learning Must demonstrate ability to assess, plan, and implement instruction Maintains a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment conducive to student success.
Starting Salary Range:
Per Master Agreement between the Beal City Public Schools Board of Education and the Beal City Education Association. The salary schedule placement is based upon the total number of years of teaching and reported to the Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS). Schedule B (e.g., coaching) opportunities are available on www.bealcityschools.net. Applications are being accepted through Applitrack.
