Until filled Position Summary Whitehall District Schools is seeking an enthusiastic and competent educator who aspires to be an instructional leader and will join a team of dedicated individuals who believe all students can succeed. We are looking for a secondary ELA instructor to join our secondary ELA team who is passionate about the design and delivery of literacy instruction. Essential Duties Build relationships and collaborative with peers, parents, and students A design thinker that possesses an inspiring personal vision to push students to succeed Ability to use data to inform instructional decisions on a day to day basis Have a strong vision and high expectations for student success Highly organized and effective at meeting deadlines Innovative in use of technology to promote student learning Ability to facilitate and provide effective feedback for independent learners Strength in motivation and student engagement Positive and optimistic about the future of education Capacity to meet all students where they are and move them forward Develop effective lesson plans with effective instructional strategies to design and deliver content Possess strong classroom management strategies and respond appropriately to student behavior Communicate effectively with parents about student progress Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Education Valid Michigan teaching certificate; Certified in Secondary or K-8 English Language Arts (BA) Compensation Per Teacher Contract School Year Schedule Individuals interested in applying for this position should email their letter of interest, resume and references to: Kirsten Bolles at kirstenbolles@whitehallschools.net.
