Job Description

Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton, New Jersey, an independent, Catholic all-girls PS-12 Sacred Heart School with a mission to educate the whole child and inspire young women to lead lives of exceptional leadership and service, is searching for a full-time Upper School English Teacher for a maternity leave starting August 19 through November 6, 2026. This position will teach five sections of US English (including English 9, Senior Seminar and Journalism) and serve as an advisor. The ideal candidate has expertise in their field, a passion for curricular innovation, a proven ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting, and a strong belief in all-girls education. An advanced degree and experience at an all-girls school or faith-based school are a plus. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the Sacred Heart. Successful candidates will be collaborative, innovative, and student-centered. The hiring range for this position is $1,161 per week to $2,334 per week. Compensation offered will be based upon a candidate's education, years of experience, skill set and internal equity.
