ESL TeacherPosition Overview We are seeking a dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to help students develop strong English speaking, reading, and writing skills. The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons, support diverse learners, and foster a positive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver ESL instruction- Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum and learning goals Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language functions Differentiate instruction to meet varied proficiency levels Assess and track student progress Use formative and summative assessments to measure learning Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and progress Support language development Create opportunities for speaking and listening practice Promote reading and writing through structured activities Encourage student participation using engaging, student-centered strategies Create a positive learning environment Manage classroom behavior consistently and respectfully Build rapport with students and support social-emotional learning Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom for all learners Collaborate with staff and families Communicate with school staff regarding student needs and progress Participate in meetings, professional development, and training Support family engagement through clear updates when required Required Qualifications Teaching credentials or equivalent experience

ESL/TEFL/TESOL
certification preferred (or a related teaching qualification) Classroom teaching experience with English learners preferred. Strong English language proficiency Ability to model correct grammar, pronunciation, and academic language Instructional and classroom skills Experience using differentiation strategies and language supports Familiarity with language proficiency frameworks (e.g., CEFR/WIDA) is a plusProfessional skills Strong communication and teamwork skills Patience, cultural awareness, and a student-focused approach Preferred Qualifications (Optional) Experience teaching beginner through advanced ESL levels Experience with IEPs/504 plans or learning accommodations
