9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Candidates should have strong English skills, patience with children, and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Must be punctual, reliable, and responsible. Experience teaching or tutoring ELA is preferred. NYC Specialized High School graduates or college students studying Education, English, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Create and deliver lesson plans based on Topway Prep's customized curriculum, assigned materials, and academic goals. Design and implement comprehensive lessons that support reading comprehension, writing development, vocabulary building, grammar, and critical thinking skills. Incorporate creative writing techniques and literacy education best practices into classroom instruction. Explain reading passages, writing strategies, and key ELA concepts clearly. Guide students through classwork, practice questions, and written responses. Check student understanding during class and provide individual support when needed. Correct student mistakes and explain how to improve. Assign and review Topway's prepared homework. Keep the class focused, organized, and productive. Qualifications Experience teaching or tutoring middle school ELA preferred. Strong English reading and writing skills. Patient, responsible, and able to explain concepts clearly to students. Comfortable working with small group classes. Must be patient and supportive when working with children. Graduates from NYC Specialized High Schools are strongly preferred. College students currently studying Education, English, or a related teaching field are welcome to apply.
