Qualifications Proven high school teaching experience with teenagers, preferably in private or independent school settings. Strong background in English language arts with expertise in curriculum development, AP style, copy editing, proofreading, and instructional design. Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and linguistics principles to ensure accurate writing instruction and editing support. Experience working with diverse learning styles and implementing differentiated instruction strategies. Familiarity with educational compliance regulations and standards for secondary education. Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a respectful learning environment. Excellent communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and liaising with parents. Skills in integrating learning technology such as educational software, library services resources, and IT tools into daily lessons. Ability to teach social sciences or related subjects is a plus; experience with standardized testing preparation is highly desirable.
