MHS is seeking dynamic 8th grade English Teacher to provide high quality engaging, rigorous, and relevant instruction aligned with state and national standards so students can achieve grade level or above benchmarks and reach their full potential. Experience with advanced middle level courses is a plus. MHS's teachers prepare and deliver lessons and assessments to differentiate instruction, while extensively utilizing data to analyze outcomes and drive achievement for student success. MHS Teachers are deeply committed to remediating students to perform well which requires extensive cross-functional collaboration with a whole child approach to student development. They are also required to schedule and complete additional duties to their teaching schedules. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English Education. Advanced degree a plus. Middle School English certification required. Reading or Special Ed certifications a plus. Experience with advanced middle level courses is a plus. Experience teaching using a literacy rich approach with demonstrated success in differentiating instruction for successful student outcomes. Exceptional skills in building student relationships & classroom management required. Demonstrated success as a high performing multi-disciplinary team member. Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills are required. Coaching or other extra-curricular experience desired. Candidates must be "all in" and eager to engage with students beyond the classroom and school day.
