Full-Time Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified High School ELA Teacher to provide engaging, standards-based instruction in English Language Arts. The teacher will develop students' reading, writing, communication, critical-thinking, and analytical skills while creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons for high school students (Grades 9-12) . Teach literature, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and communication skills. Develop lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with state standards. Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback. Support students in developing analytical writing, research, argumentation, and critical-thinking skills . Maintain accurate student attendance, grades, and academic records. Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and parents/guardians regarding student progress. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities. Integrate technology and digital resources into instruction when appropriate. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, ELA, Literature, or a related field . Valid state teaching certification/license for secondary English/ELA, where required. Experience teaching or supporting high school students preferred. Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, composition, and writing instruction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education, English, or related field. Experience teaching Grades 9-12 ELA . Experience with Common Core or state ELA standards . Experience with differentiated instruction, IEP/504 accommodations, or special education collaboration. Familiarity with LMS and educational technology platforms.

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
