Full Job Description Primary Purpose :
Provides coaching and support to classroom teachers to ensure the continuous development of instructional skills among assigned teachers. Evaluate the performance of assigned classroom teachers. Serve to reduce the student to teacher ratio. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experience in the core academic subject area assigned to help fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successful in society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited university Master's degree from accredited university (Preferred) Valid Texas teaching certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Deep understanding of research and evidence based practices for teaching reading and writing Ability to accurately assess student progress Extensive knowledge base of content, methodologies, and pedagogical practices related to the teaching of English Language Arts, as well as literacy in general with an emphasis onintervention and differentiation Extensive knowledge of curricular requirements such as those mandated by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) Ability to gather, disaggregate and interpret data. Ability to evaluate curriculum and instruction program and teacher effectiveness
