Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. ; Responsibilities Gives examples; provides opportunities for teachers performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level to observe instructional behavior; suggests alternatives. Assists teachers performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level explore ways to involve pupils in learning. Listens carefully and uses teachers performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level responses to improve learning for pupils. Gives clarification and feedback by providing specific and general answers to questions. Assists teachers performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level in setting up routines and in understanding the school organization. Helps teachers that are performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level by modeling lessons for teaching specific learning objectives; likes to teach; monitors progress and impact of learning in the classroom. Helps teachers performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level to become self-evaluative. Provides appropriate materials/resources and directs teachers performing at a basic or unsatisfactory level to in-school and community resources; shares ideas; knows the school district. Develops a relationship of trust, confidentiality and support; is there when needed. Provides instruction in specific knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance based on goals set by the school principal and teacher. Is open to learning new ideas and is willing to expand his/her education related to working with adults. Receives training in COMP and delivers training to district teachers as needed. Reports to the Peer Panel in written and verbal communication, as well as confers and shares feedback on progress of set goals with the school principal and Peer participants ; Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Education Requirements:

A current license from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. A minimum of ten (10) years classroom teaching experience in an urban/metropolitan district as a fully licensed teacher. ; Last formal evaluation rating must be at the proficient or distinguished level of performance. (Distinguished preferred) A bachelor's degree. ;

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

A master's degree in an education-related field. Experience mentoring and coaching teachers that have been identified as unsatisfactory. ; Recent urban teaching experience and experience leading and designing professional development. Proficiency in using technology platforms such as Google Applications, Office 365, Frontline Education Professional Growth, mConnect, and Infinite Campus. ; Effective oral and written communication skills. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule The Instructional Coach:
