Teach 1-2 sections in Fall 2026 ofENVS 384/BIOL 344, GIS
(3-6 credits).The course must cover:
(1) basic mapping and data manipulation techniques required for presenting ecological data; (2) a foundation in ArcGIS Pro and QGIS software packages; (3) manipulation of spatial data to ask scientific questions and as a research tool to answer scientific questions. For the Gonzaga Environmental Studies Department, a teaching load of 3-6 credits per academic term.- (Essential) Hold office hours (amount determined in consultation with Department Chair)

Minimum Qualifications:
M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Biological science, environmental science, geography, or related field Evidence of teaching effectiveness, including the ability to effectively respond to the academic needs of learners from diverse backgrounds. Evidence of the ability to use effective classroom strategies and pedagogies to advance equity, inclusion, and belonging.Preferred Qualifications:
