The Departments of English and Film, Television and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame invite applications for the McMeel Family Chair in Shakespeare Studies. We seek a widely recognized leader in the field with a distinguished record of research and publication and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. Duties will include teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will be appointed at the rank of full professor with tenure with a start date in August 2027. Review of applications will begin November 1 and continue until the search is closed.

Qualifications:

A Ph. D. (or equivalent degree) in English or Film, Television, and Theatre or a related field is required. Must be a tenured faculty member (or equivalent international rank) at current institution.
