The position currently entails teaching one course entitled Introduction to Media Studies to be taught in-person in spring semester 2027. This course meets one day each week for fifteen weeks, with each class session running 2 hours and 50 minutes. Future courses may be assigned as needed and available.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Communication Arts adjunct faculty member will teach courses as assigned by the program coordinator.

Master's degree
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Theoretical and historical knowledge in media studies and cinema studies Course content preparation abilities Teaching and classroom management skills for both in-person and synchronous online instruction Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas to support student learning and instruction

University-level teaching experience with undergraduate students Experience teaching courses in media studies and cinema studies Experience and availability to teach courses that meet in-person Experience and availability to teach courses using a synchronous online modality
