Salary range: See Table 15 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $70,977-$77,651. (annual salary of 100%). This position will be part-time, equivalent to 50% time during one quarter (3 months).

POSITION DESCRIPTION UCLA
Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences seeks applications for a temporary lecturer position in the area of Engineering and Environmental Geology for the Winter 2027 Quarter. Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams and problem sets for an upper division Engineering and Environmental Geology undergraduate course. The course will cover principles and practice of soil mechanics and foundation engineering in light of geologic conditions, recognition, prediction, and control or abatement of subsidence, landslides, earthquakes, and surface/subsurface disposal of liquids and solid wastes. Qualified candidates will have an M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering Geology or equivalent discipline. Experience in teaching and/or practicing Engineering and Environmental Geology is preferred but not required. QUALIFICATIONS
Basic qualifications M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering Geology or equivalent discipline. Preferred qualifications Experience in teaching and/or practicing Engineering and Environmental Geology.
