The Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) position in Biology is responsible for proctoring exams; periodically checking chemicals, solutions, and supplies used in labs; making new solutions as needed; prepping & taking down labs on Mondays and Fridays throughout the semester; keeping labs neat, clean, and orderly; teaching Principles of Biology labs, which includes preparing and grading all assignments/tests/quizzes; attending all graduate assistant meetings. Minimum Qualifications 1. Must be a current Troy University thesis graduate student seeking a Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, or Biomedical Science 2. Must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA Please note: Student positions are FICA/Medicare exempt only if students are enrolled in classes in the semester work is performed. To qualify for the FICA/Medicare exemption, you must be enrolled on a half-time basis for the Fall, Spring, or Summer. Preferred Qualifications
