Other (A pre-requisite for employment is proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test or possession of an AA degree or higher.) Resume Comments and Other Information A pre-requisite for employment as an Instructional Assistant is the proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test for the Napa Valley Unified School District. Exceptions to taking the test are: Possession of a current California Teaching Credential, possession of an AA degree or higher, at least 48 units, or passing the CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test).
