Job Summary Key responsibilities for this role include the following: Supports 4-5 wind- and percussion-based concerts a term, performing and managing logistics performed by SAs and music service organizations (30%); Completes routine work of rehearsal and concert preparation including maintaining specialized library, checking in and out music, and instrument inventory, maintenance and repair (40%); Assists recruiting, such as at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) annual conference and for on-campus events (10%); Mentors and assists undergrad education, especially ensemble courses and also other related music courses as time allows (20%) Required Qualifications To be considered for a graduate assistantship at the University of West Georgia (UWG), students must meet the following criteria: Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG.

Please note:

Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions. Bachelor's degree in Music from an accredited institution. Be enrolled full-time in the UWG MM program with a wind, brass, or percussion performance concentration during the assistantship period. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing. Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Be enrolled full-time in the UWG MM program with a wind, brass, or percussion performance concentration during the assistantship period Proposed Salary A monthly stipend of $1000.00 per month A tuition waiver, reducing your graduate tuition to $25 per semester plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship.
