Job Summary Senior Demonstration Assistant Purdue University - College of Science (Indianapolis) Purdue University's College of Science in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Demonstration Assistant to support instructional delivery across the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. This position plays a key role in preparing and facilitating classroom demonstrations that help students connect theoretical concepts with practical application. The Senior Demonstration Assistant works closely with faculty and instructional staff to integrate demonstrations into course lectures and laboratory settings. Through careful planning and execution, this role contributes to an engaging and effective academic environment. What You Will Do Prepare, coordinate, and deliver visual demonstrations in support of large-scale classroom and laboratory instruction Collaborate with faculty and lecturers to align demonstrations with course content Maintain and manage demonstration materials, equipment, and scheduling Assist in classroom or laboratory environments as needed, including occasional instructional support Supervise and guide undergraduate teaching assistants involved in demonstration activities What You Bring Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic academic setting Basic project coordination and problem-solving skills Experience in laboratory, instructional, or educational support environments is helpful What Sets This Role Apart This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the student learning experience by supporting hands-on, visual instruction.
