Job Story A Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) focused on indirect teaching supports academic courses behind the scenes without leading front-of-class lectures, centering on grading, course material preparation, and Blackboard administration. The primary function of a graduate teaching assistant (GTA) is to assist with instruction. GTAs have the latitude to make independent decisions, use judgment and exercise discretion when dealing with student matters.
