Position Information Title Graduate Assistant - Computer Science
Position Description The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer. Duties
The Computer Science Department GA will support the computer science program in the following ways:
Assist with the technology setup and instructional needs for COMP-152, CYBF-210, COMP-250 and other introductory courses.
Investigate and support robots and other electronic equipment used by the department.
Help with department computer lab maintenance.
Help with software support.
Create specialized application software for the computer science department needs.
Assist the department with preparing hand-on labs.
Investigate and demonstrate new technology for the department. This position is essential for supporting the Computer Science department's particular teaching, curriculum design and program evaluation needs. It also gives a GA valuable experience that they can use on their resume. Preferred Qualifications Qualifications
Be familiar with the Python, C, Java and Javascript programming languages.
Have experience working with robots, electronic equipment, and supporting computing labs.
Have experience working with GIT.
Have experience working with Linux.
