Job Description

A Paraprofessional, ESP, or Teaching Assistant is responsible for providing hands-on support to a Teacher when implementing lessons or supporting instruction of students in the classroom. This includes working with small groups of students with and without disabilities, and at times, offering individual assistance to students in the school. ESPs may assist in helping with behavior management during lessons, tracking a students behavior, and setting up classroom materials before and during class.
Skills and Qualifications:
Good written and verbal communicationAssist teachers in classroom management and instruction.

Ability to work individually and in small groups with childrenKnowledge of classroom subjects.

Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to operate computers and tablets. Keyboarding skills and using educational software.

Maintain confidentiality.
