This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with students, fostering their academic growth across various subjects including mathematics, English language arts, science, and test preparation. The Assistant will play a vital role in creating a positive, engaging learning environment while assisting with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Paid positions are available, and this role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and working with children from diverse backgrounds. Duties Support the instructor in implementing curriculum development strategies tailored to individual student needs and learning styles. Assist with lesson planning and prepare instructional materials to enhance student engagement. Utilize learning technology tools to facilitate online instruction and interactive learning experiences. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs, ensuring inclusive classroom practices. Manage classroom activities effectively, maintaining a positive environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Work closely with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, fostering an understanding of different perspectives and promoting respectful interactions. Qualifications Prior experience in tutoring or teaching children or young adults, especially in math, English language arts, or science. Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and provide constructive feedback. Knowledge of curriculum development principles and experience integrating learning technology into instruction. Ability to adapt instructional approaches based on individual student needs and learning styles. Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is preferred. Excellent classroom management skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for teaching. Familiarity with online instruction platforms and tools for remote learning is a plus.
