Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the educational journey of students as a dedicated paraprofessional in a supportive school environment. This contract role offers the unique opportunity to make meaningful connections with students and collaborate closely with teaching staff near Hilliard, OH.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support position Ability to assist teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and colleagues Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational settings Patience and a genuine desire to help students succeed High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or relevant college coursework preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers in managing classroom activities and ensuring a positive, structured environment Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional guidance Assist with preparing materials and organizing instructional resources Support students with diverse learning needs, helping implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when necessary Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities as needed Monitor student progress and communicate observations to classroom teachers or support staff Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and growth Take pride in helping students reach their full potential as a valued member of the school community.
