This position provides instructional support in the creation, maintenance and delivery of courses and trainings through the Distance Learning department. There is one role available for this Graduate Assistantship which start in the Fall 2026 semester. Job Duties & Responsibilities 1. After training by and under the direction of the Distance Learning staff, assist with i.

management of Canvas campus:

set up semesters, copy content, enroll users, and prepare courses for launch. ii. instructional design support for Canvas courses. iii. development of tutorials and training courses. iv. assist faculty in Canvas environment 2. Demonstrated understanding of i. the effective use of learning management systems and collaborative tools. ii. multimedia technologies and their application to learning. iii. An understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity in higher education/ the workplace. Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

In the classrooms and on campus may experience: interruptions, distractions, heat, cold, dust and/or dampness. As a graduate assistant, you may spend extended periods time with any of the following:

• Reading academic texts and materials, student papers, etc.
• Operating personal computer and audio-visual equipment.
• Standing or sitting for hours at a time.
• Moving around campus for classes and meetings.

All leave accrual rates vary based on the position, hours worked, and years of service.
