Honors College Student Assistant 532363 Fairbanks, Alaska, United States Student Employee Closing on: Jun 30 2026 Student Assistant 2 UAF Provost Office Operations Add to favorites View favorites The Honors College Student Assistant serves as a key ambassador and operational support member for the Honors College. This position requires professionalism, initiative, strong organizational skills, and a weing demeanor. The student assistant is often the first point of contact for visitors and plays an essential role in maintaining a positive and professional environment. This position supports day-to-day office operations, major college events,munications, and student engagement efforts. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, creative, andfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. To thrive in this role, candidates should be interested in acquiring new skills and facing new challenges, and should also be detail-oriented, creative, andfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Honors student, good academic standing Ability to use standard UAF platforms such as Google Apps (Docs, Drive, Calendar etc.), Nanook Engage, 25LIVE, or (at a minimum) a willingness to learn other technology platforms independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbalmunication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks independently Comfort with social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva) Customer service experience Dependable, proactive and solution-oriented
Position Details:
This is a part-time, non-exempt (hourly) student position. Starting rate of pay is Grade 2, Step 19 at $16.20 per hour.
