We strive to build math and reading foundation for students to become successful and confident in school and in life. We are looking for reliable and hardworking assistants/ graders who can help with various tasks around the Kumon centre and work with young children. This is a great opportunity to gain some experience if you are pursuing teaching career. You can pick up anywhere from 6-20 hours per week with us depending on your schedule. Kumon centre's class hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (12:30pm - 6:30pm) Supervise, interact with and motivate students during the instruction hour Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm Housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring that students' worksheets are prepared prior to class time; ensuring reference and writing materials are available; dating and preparing students' worksheets in sequence for the next session; ensuring worksheets are available when required; and maintaining a neat and tidy environment Assist the students in taking out their work from home and preparing the work to take home Communicate to the instructor any concerns about the students' work and/ or attitude Grade and document each student's work and assist them in understanding any corrections they cannot easily make themselves Ensure that the student have the correct materials to take home until their next scheduled return to class Do other activities as required to have students achieve their objectives.
