Summer Program Houston PREP Peer Assistant requirements: Houston PREP is designed to engage middle and high school students in STEM fields, to inspire creativity, to encourage interactive learning, to foster positive thinking. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Science, Technology, Mathematics fields Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community Dependable, professional, and positive responsibilities Able to guide and assist middle/high school students in a classroom setting Required Qualifications None Preferred Qualifications Current Major in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Engineering, or similarly related fields 12 hours of college level courses in Spring 2025 semester Salary Approximately $2500 for 7 weeks (June 8 - July 17) All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
