A Health Sciences Professor teaches foundational health science ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction, lab experience, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the health science curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field.
Auburn Healthcare Institute is seeking a dependable and motivated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our CNA training program as a CNA Instructor/Clinical Supervisor . The LVN Instructor will provide classroom and skills instruction to CNA students and supervise students during clinical training at a skilled nursing/convalescent facility. We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping students develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to become successful Certified Nursing Assistants.
Schedule Tuesday-Thursday:

PM Saturday-Sunday:
8:00 AM-4:00 PM Responsibilities Teach CNA students in the classroom and skills lab. Supervise and observe CNA students during clinical rotations. Demonstrate proper CNA skills, resident care techniques, infection-control practices, and safety procedures. Evaluate student skills and clinical performance. Provide students with instruction, coaching, and constructive feedback. Maintain accurate attendance, skills evaluations, clinical documentation, and other required student records. Ensure students follow school policies, clinical facility requirements, and applicable CDPH requirements. Promote resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality care. Communicate student progress and concerns to program administration. Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Long-Term Care Subacute Care Rehabilitation Nursing Current and active California LVN license in good standing - Required Must meet eligibility requirements and obtain California Department of Public Health (CDPH) approval as a CNA instructor before independently providing instruction or clinical supervision, as required. Auburn Healthcare Institute will assist the selected candidate with the CDPH instructor approval process. Previous CNA instruction, staff development, precepting, or teaching experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred . Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Must be dependable and available for the required evening and weekend schedule. Pay:
