Job Description

Position Overview SouthTech is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Medical Academy Instructor to teach middle students in a career-focused healthcare program. The ideal candidate will inspire students to pursue careers in the medical field while providing engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver instruction in medical and health science courses Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and career/technical education frameworks Prepare students for industry certifications Incorporate hands-on labs, simulations, and real-world applications into instruction Maintain a safe and organized classroom/lab environment Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and industry partners Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field Valid Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification Experience in healthcare (e.g., nursing, medical assisting, EMT, etc.) Prior teaching or training experience preferred Strong classroom management and organizational skills Passion for working with middle and high school students Preferred Qualifications Industry certifications (CMA, CNA, EMT, RN, etc.) Experience in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs Familiarity with certification programs and testing requirements Learn more about the Florida Clearinghouse Education and Awareness program.

$53,200.00 - $67,900.00 per year
