Job Summary The Graduate Assistant, Health Sciences will provide administrative and professional support to the department. Job Description Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Assist with departmental administrative tasks and projects. Support faculty and staff with scheduling, correspondence, and organization. Maintain and organize departmental records and files. Support department events, meetings, and activities. Prepare documents, presentations, and other materials. Assist with student and faculty communications. Help coordinate departmental projects and initiatives. Conduct basic research or information gathering as assigned. Provide general office and program support. Assist with special projects related to Health Sciences.
Additional Job Description Required Qualifications:
Must be a current FGCU graduate student cleared to receive an assistantship. Must be in good conduct standing with the University. Knowledge, Skills, and abilities Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to exercise good judgement. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Ability to maintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume department Ability to represent the university in a positive and professional manner. Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university faculty, staff, students, and the public. Ability to perform basic tasks and functions for professional work. Ability to work within established policies and procedures. Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment. Conduct oneself in a manner consistent with the University's standards of ethical conduct. Present a professional image in word, action, and attire. Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement .
Schedule:
Up to 20 hours/week, with a preference for morning hours, Monday-Thursday.
