Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Clinical Instructor to join our dynamic healthcare education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping future healthcare professionals by providing hands-on clinical instruction, mentorship, and support within a variety of clinical settings. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world patient care, fostering the development of competent, compassionate practitioners. Responsibilities Deliver engaging clinical instruction to students across diverse healthcare environments, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. Supervise students during patient care activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices. Develop and update curriculum materials and clinical scenarios aligned with current industry standards and accreditation requirements. Assess student performance through observation, documentation review, and feedback sessions; maintain detailed records of clinical evaluations. Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing management, and academic colleagues to coordinate learning experiences and ensure seamless integration of theory and practice. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) such as Canvas to track student progress, assign coursework, and facilitate online learning components. Support research initiatives by guiding students in evidence-based practice projects and contributing to scholarly activities related to clinical education. Requirements Proven supervising experience in clinical settings with a focus on nursing or allied health disciplines. Minimum three years of experience working as a registered nurse. Must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Friday. Please let us know your availability when applying. Prior teaching hospital experience or higher education teaching background preferred. BSN minimum, MSN preferred Familiarity with LMS platforms like Canvas or similar learning technology tools. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care procedures, and documentation review processes. Experience with curriculum development tailored for adult learners in healthcare fields. Background in critical care environments such as ICU or acute care units; pediatric or senior care experience is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, including adult education settings. Knowledge of nursing administration, nurse management, and hospital operations is beneficial. Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly and confidently.
