GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Collaborates with Unit/Department Managers and other educators to provideAmerican Heart Association, and other certification courses with the goal of enhanced clinical practice, professional growth of the staff and the assurance of safe and effective healthcare to patients.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Licensed in the State of Idaho asan EMT, LPN, RN, RT or Paramediclicensed in the State of Idaho orregistered with the National Registry. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units,unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk. Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk. Twoyears of direct patient care experience in thelicensed role required, and one year of AmericanHeart Association course instruction preferred Experience in nursing/clinical educationdesirable.
