Faculty Position - Osteopathic Principles & Practice NCOM seeks a qualified and collaborative faculty member in Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) to support the Section of OPP within the Department of Clinical Sciences and the college's mission of excellence in osteopathic medical education. To thrive/succeed as the Osteopathic Principles & Practice, you should have: Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required Successful completion of residency and/or fellowship training NBONMM or C-SPOMM board certification with active maintenance of certification Active medical license and eligibility for Illinois licensure Demonstrated excellence in teaching and learner engagement Knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, and educational research Ability to contribute to scholarly activity and research initiatives Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Proficiency with learning management systems and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to qualify for an appropriate faculty appointment at

NCOM Preferred:

Minimum two years of experience in academic medicine Experience with curricular planning and educational assessment Experience mentoring students or faculty Familiarity with simulation-based education and POCUS Your responsibilities as the Osteopathic Principles & Practice will include: Teach osteopathic principles and practice, clinical medicine, clinical skills, procedural skills, POCUS, and simulation activities Support the development, integration, delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement of the four-year OPP curriculum Align curriculum content with osteopathic competencies, NBOME blueprints, COMLEX-USA expectations, and osteopathic recognition requirements Collaborate with faculty, simulation teams, skills labs, assessment personnel, and clinical education partners Support student readiness for clinical rotations and residency training Develop and maintain accurate, evidence-based course materials and syllabi Serve as a mentor and role model for osteopathic medical students Participate in curriculum design, assessment, and program evaluation activities Engage in scholarly activity, research, presentations, and academic service Support departmental initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the institution If you are passionate about osteopathic medicine, student success, and academic excellence, we encourage you to apply and help shape the future of healthcare education at NCOM.
