RN Clinical Instructor Willis-Knighton Health System - 3.7 Shreveport, LA Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Qualifications RN License Full Job Description Located on the campus of Willis Knighton Rehab Institute, the Institute for Behavioral Medicine offers inpatient, partial hospitalization and outpatient programs. Currently, we are seeking a registered nurse for our inpatient, duel diagnosis unit. On this 34-bed adult/geri psychiatric unit, the job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Delivering quality psychiatric patient care when needed through appropriate planning and implementation of procedures Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of Behavioral Medicine staff development activities based on identified needs within the clinical unit. Directs the development, implementation and evaluation of unit orientation programs, plans and coordinates inservices for continuing education and new procedures and equipment with the PCC, Head Nurse and Charge Nurse. Coordinates the competency assessment program, reviews and revises competencies on a yearly basis with the PCC, Head Nurse and Charge Nurse. Assures the maintenance of educational records consistent with regulatory agency requirements. Provides an ongoing review of staff development and orientation programs within the clinical unit. Assures adequate supervision of affiliating students and employees on orientation Maintains educational resources and acts as a resource person for the staff of the Behavioral Medicine department. Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences by attending both mandatory and non-mandatory educational offerings. Reviews and provides ongoing educational data (articles, books, journals, etc.) to the staff. Participates in the initiation, review, and revision of policies and procedures, reviews policies and procedures yearly, works closely with all preceptors. Coordinating all orientation activities Constrained for duties as PCC to cover in periods of absence
