Position Highlights Faculty Rank/Track:
Appointment rank may be at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level on the clinical track depending on qualifications, career goals, and experience.
Clinical Activity :
Deliver expert comprehensive ophthalmological care. This full-time clinical opportunity is ideal for an ophthalmologist who is eager to provide comprehensive care a leading academic health system.
Academic Opportunities:
Participate in or lead innovative clinical research and programmatic initiatives that meet patient and institutional needs. The position also provides opportunities to collaborate with renowned colleagues in disciplines across the University of Michigan. Board-eligible or board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). M.D. or D.O. Demonstrated excellence in managing the medical and surgical ophthalmic diseases. Eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan This position is posted for a Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. Rank will be determined based on qualifications. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses. Job openings are posted for a minimum of seven calendar days. The review and selection process may begin as early as the eighth day after posting. This opening may be removed from posting boards and filled anytime after the minimum posting period has ended.
