Position Summary The University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, Department ofEmergency Medicine , is seeking full-time Lecturers with Advanced PlacementProvider (APP) credentials . This position will primarily work clinically at theUniversity of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) and Sandoval Regional Medical Center(SRMC) Emergency Rooms. The Department of Emergency Medicine has 10 full and part-time FacultyAPP's credentialed to work with 88 attending physicians. In addition, theDepartment Faculty APP's also work alongside UNM Hospital APP's in the clinicalsetting. Emergency Medicine APP's perform department triage, treat patients inthe Pediatric ER and in the resuscitation and trauma room. We provide classroomand clinical education for the
UNM SOM PA
Students, EM PA Residents as well asmedical and pharmacy students. We have identified need of Advanced PlacementProviders with expertise in clinical and academic areas of emergency medicine. UNM Hospital is New Mexico's only Level I Trauma Center and the onlyChildren's Hospital. UNM Health System providers specialize in over 150 areasand receive 900,000 outpatient visits, 22,000 surgical cases and 100,000 emergencyroom visits each year. UNM prides itself on being an engaged partner to themany communities it serves and accepts the responsibility that comes with thatcommitment. The School of Medicine (SOM), created in 1964, is celebrated forits research discoveries and innovations in medical education and has earned areputation for prioritizing diversity in the physician and health professionsworkforce. The UNM Health Sciences Center integrates the School of Medicinewith Schools of Population-Based Health, Pharmacy, and Nursing to offer uniqueinter-professional training and collaborative experiences.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree Board certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner State of New Mexico Medical PA/NP license or ability to obtain NM license and NM DEA at time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
