Job Description:
We're looking for a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our team and make a significant impact in the field of general dentistry! In this role, you'll immerse yourself in the vibrant world of clinical and pre-clinical education. Your primary focus will be on guiding and mentoring students as they navigate patient and simulated patient care activities. Your role will involve evaluating and assessing student performance within our cutting-edge patient and simulation clinics, helping to shape the next generation of dental professionals. Schedule & Clinical Interests:
This adjunct opportunity supports the DMD program and requires availability on Mondays and/or Fridays. Candidates who are comfortable teaching and supervising endodontic procedures, oral surgery, and denture-related care are especially encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions:
Clinical/SimClinic teaching utilizing a proactive and engaged learning model Didactic teaching utilizing Mastery Learning Utilize evidence-based science in didactic and clinical teaching Integrate Biomedical Science in didactic and clinical teaching Oversee and provide patient care as needed in the College's clinics Manage and assess student progress toward competency Required to be standardized in Clinic/SimClinic operation and approved treatment modalities Adapt to current and future technologies (i.e. digital impressions, input of patient data) utilized at the
CODM Qualifications:
DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited US or Canadian dental school or equivalent Must be eligible for full licensure in Nevada at the time of application or receive licensure within 3 months of hire Completion of a CODA-approved, post-doctoral residency in general dentistry (GPR or AEGD) is preferred, along with teaching experience at the pre-doctoral level What We Offer As part of our experienced Dental Faculty, you play a crucial role of our mission to improve the oral health of the public with special attention to underserved populations.
