- Description
- The University of Rochester School of Nursing is seeking adjunct laboratory instructors for our pre-licensure nursing programs.
This includes health assessment and medical-surgical nursing labs. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in nursing, a RN license, and relevant practice experience. The School of Nursing offers nationally accredited baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree programs. The University of Rochester School of Nursing prepares nurses to meet the challenges of health care in the twenty-first century. Our philosophy centers around unification, education, research and scholarly productivity, practice, nursing, consumer, and health. Instructors use the resources of the School of Nursing to engage, inspire and elevate student learning.
- SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- + Teach groups of students in the school's pre-licensure nursing programs in labs and/or clinical settings. + Participate in required course-related meetings, program faculty meetings, and faculty committees as needed or selected. + Assist in student clinical assessments and grading assignments. + Serve as a resource/advisor/mentor for students.

- REQUIREMENTS
- + Bachelor's degree in nursing + Current NYS licensure + Demonstrated record of clinical excellence + Superior interpersonal skills required + Post-offer health assessment required + Complete all agency requirements for clinical faculty compliance and credentialing.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- + Masters degree and prior experience teaching in a baccalaureate program is strongly preferred.
