Infectious Disease Physician, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases Location Stony Brook, New York Deadline Jan 01, 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The School of Medicine of Stony Brook University is seeking an Infectious Disease physician to join our faculty in the Division of Infectious Diseases. This is a full-time academic position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. We are seeking individuals to become involved with our expanding program of patient care, teaching, and academic scholarship. Opportunities for developing clinical or basic research projects exist, potentially with support of targeted research awards. Stony Brook is located in suburban Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, offering excellent schools and wonderful recreational activities, including access to beaches, boating and the cultural wealth of New York City. The level of appointment will be dependent on credentials and experience.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
MD (or foreign equivalent). Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified/Eligible in Infectious Diseases. Strong clinical background in the care of immunocompromised patients with infectious diseases along with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with clinical trials, additional training or expertise in the treatment of infectious diseases in transplant recipients and other immunocompromised hosts and experience in antimicrobial stewardship. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to establishing a track record as a clinical educator and/or clinical researcher.
