Exempt Job Summary :

Responsible for the success of the total teaching/learning process within the assigned classroom laboratory.

Minimum Required Education:

Associate's degree within the instructional area being taught. Registry in Echocardiography.

Minimum Required Experience:

Preferred:

Experience teaching in higher education within the instructional area being taught.

Core Duties and Required Knowledge:

Working knowledge of the guidelines of the state agency/accrediting agency for the departments with regulation from outside agencies. Working knowledge of all regulations in adherence to required licenses and certifications. Working knowledge of the Hill College vision and mission.

Strategic Vision and Program Development:

Contributes to the development and review of the curriculum. Contributes to the course syllabi and textbooks adopted for each course. Maintains familiarity with recent publications and journals and participates in local or national professional societies and meetings where appropriate.

Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Conducts class discussions within the scope of the course and professional competence. Physical Requirements:

Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. The use of arm and or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than that for sedentary work.
