This position is committed to working with individuals, groups and college students in the residence hall environment. Candidates work period is for an academic year (August 15 -May 15).
Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Residence Hall Director in implementing, monitoring and reporting on all programs, designed to promote the growth and development of students. Assist the Residence Hall Director in orientation of new students to the University as well as the Residence Hall. Assist the Residence Hall Director in enforcing Residence Hall policies and regulations. Assist the Residence Hall Director in maintaining records and reports for incidents, damages and repairs. Counsel and advise students and/or refers to appropriate resource persons. Duties may be performed or assigned on other designated shifts and/or buildings as necessary. Performs related duties as required. Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including certifications, licenses, etc.): - High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience as a security guard, hotel front desk agent, customer service representative, counseling, group work, or human relations training is a plus.
Supplemental Information Conditions of Employment:
Required to work on campus during usual break periods (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, etc.). Must be able to work on the weekend.

Must be able to climb several flights of stairs Must be able to stand for a long period of time Must be able to lift up a minimum of 20 pounds
