Job Description

UCP OF MOBILE CCEP INCLUSION CONSULTANT ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of a CCEP Inclusion Consultant is to help promote the concept of developmentally-appropriate practices for early childhood education and to assist in all facets of the CCEP program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Technical Assistance
  • Responsible for modeling and counseling childcare providers, as well as directors of childcare centers, on including children with special healthcare needs in the classroom and to promote the concept of developmentally-appropriate practices for early childhood education; Coordinate with screening team and childcare providers on scheduling developmental screenings of children with written permission from the parents/guardians of that child; Provide technical assistance in classrooms by modeling, mentoring and consulting • CCEP Training•Facilitate CCEP training in conjunction with the CCEP Project Coordinator for childcare providers and other target audiences; work with CCEP Regional Coordinator to schedule therapists, as needed for training; research and creation of CCEP trainings • Marketing•Marketing CCEP services to community and centers needs • Paperwork•Turn in all required paperwork by designated deadlines; filing and documentation of all CCEP quality activities • Google Calendar•Must update Google Calendar with current CCEP activities • Parent Education•Participate in parent education by providing a Parent Information Resources Table at childcare centers receiving CCEP training, when requested by the center • Developmental Screenings•Coordinate with screening team and childcare providers on scheduling developmental screenings of children with written permission from the parents/guardians of that child • Safety•All UCP of Mobile employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety training, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Human Services or related field from an accredited educational institution
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and driver's liability
Required Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education management
  • Appropriate year-for-year experience may be substituted for education
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
    Schedule:

    Typically Monday through Friday, but there is occasional evening or weekend training, flex time

      Pay Range:

      $19.95/hour @ 37.5 hours per week
