Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Donor Relations maintains an accurate and efficient tracking method for University gift funds and pledges, gift agreements, and namings to ensure the University is spending and stewarding gifts and funds in accordance with established standards and Board rules. Conducts regular fund audits and training that fosters strong partnerships across campus to support effective fund management and stewardship best practices. Works closely with Enrollment Management to utilize and improve scholarship award management software to ensure fund compliance and improve awarding processes. Leads the production and distribution of annual endowment reports. Facilitates the pledge process and review. Reviews and assists with strategic projects that strengthen donor stewardship and engagement. Provides functional guidance to donor relations staff.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience; OR master's degree and two (2) years of experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and donor restrictions. Proficiency with Denny CRM, ASAM, Banner and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree and three (3) years of experience relating to donor relations, stewardship, fund management, gift administration, development or advancement operations, or related field. Supervisory experience.
