Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Organizes and monitors the registration process. Maintains high school student enrollment and academic records. Edits, stores, prepares and distributes reports on grades and attendance.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, records, verifies, approves and distributes reports on student enrollment and grades, computes GPA's, records scholastic information to transcripts. Produces and maintains the Master Schedule from database. Coordinates and supervises the maintenance and storage of student registration, attendance and grade records. Ensures student schedules are entered into the system and prints student schedules from the master schedule and distributes copies to student(s). Makes all necessary schedule changes. Receives new student enrollment information and enters into the system; requests and evaluates transcripts of new students from previously attended schools. Posts transcript data on students' permanent records. Maintains student parent/guardian information. Monitors and advises students regarding progress toward completion of course work necessary for graduation. Provides students with SAT and ACT test scores and rankings. Implements new guidelines for registration and attendance into existing procedures. Supervises student registration procedures. Produces registration reports of student counts per teacher, per period, and records on master schedule. Responds to transcript requests from colleges, students and external agencies. Maintains a log of all transcripts received and requested. Requests and evaluates transcripts of new students from previously attended schools. Posts transcript data on students' permanent records. Prepares and updates list of graduating seniors and posts for students to review. Compiles a list of graduates by grade point average (GPA). Pulls and stores graduate's cumulative records. Informs counselors of seniors who are not meeting graduation requirements. Compiles an enrollment report to include the enrollment of students per teacher, department, subject and period. Schedules and assigns duties of clerical staff. Performs related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated general proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software programs. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Basic reading and math skills. Knowledge of student coursework requirements needed for High School graduation. Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students and parents. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of school record keeping experience Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with students, staff, parents and the public. •Internal candidates must submit a request for transfer form signed by your site administrator within 5 working days of the posting date. •$18.54/hour - 12 Month position - 40 hours/week
