In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, organization, and execution of tennis activities, ensuring a fun, engaging, and safe environment for everyone involved. Your passion for sports, exceptional communication skills, and leadership abilities will drive the success of our tennis offerings and foster a vibrant community of tennis enthusiasts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact while promoting health, wellness, and active lifestyles. This position earns commission in addition to the annual salary. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive tennis programs tailored to various age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced players Lead coaching sessions, providing clear instruction on technique, strategy, and sportsmanship to enhance player performance Manage court scheduling, maintenance coordination, and ensure all facilities meet safety standards Organize tournaments, clinics, and special events to promote community engagement and active participation Promotes and executes junior tennis summer camps Responsible for managing the care, condition, and cleanliness of the courts and the gardens surrounding the courts Completes the department annual budget for revenue and expenses Completes monthly actual to prior year and budget variance report Responsible for managing the fitness center, including overseeing the fitness instructors, class schedule, payroll, maintenance of the facility and equipment Qualifications 3-5 years experience in sports coaching with a focus on tennis USPTA or PTR instructor certified Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple programs simultaneously Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Experience working with children and implementing behavior management strategies in a sports or childcare setting Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction techniques to improve athletic performance Certifications in first aid, CPR/AED operation, child safety or related areas are highly desirable Experienced with budgets and profit and loss statements Highly organized and able to multitask
