The Development Assistant plays an important role in making that work possible providing executive and administrative support, helping produce engaging events, and supporting fundraising and donor engagement projects across the Development team. This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, working with people, and helping a busy and successful team turn plans into action.

Coordinate volunteer support for department projectsEstablish and maintain effective, collegial working relationships with ODowd faculty and staff, volunteers, donors, alumni, families, and other external stakeholdersWhat were looking for in a Development AssistantBachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred24 years of administrative, executive, project, or office support experience; experience in fundraising, education, or a nonprofit organization is a plusA proactive problem-solver who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and is comfortable shifting between different types of workStrong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, details, and deadlines with dependable follow-throughExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated judgment and discretion, including the ability to handle confidential information appropriatelyDetail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality workSolid proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite, with comfort learning and using new softwareAbility to work some evenings and weekends for Development and school events is requiredReady to apply?
